How to Root Sony Xperia Z3 on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop 21.1.A.0.726 Firmware
- Download the pre rooted Android 5.0.2 Lollipop firmware for your Xperia Z3 from here.
- Save this file on your computer, preferable on desktop, but don’t unzip the software package.
- Now, connect your smartphone with your computer via USB cable.
- Transfer the downloaded file on your phone and remember the location.
- Unplug the USB cable and also turn off your device.
- Then, reach recovery mode on your Xperia Z3.
- From recovery load the pre rooted ROM by choosing or taping on “install zip from SD card” and “choose zip from SD card”.
- Resume the flashing process by following on screen prompts.
- When done, from main menu of recovery select “wipe cache partition” and “wipe dalvik cache”.
- Then, pick “reboot system now” and enjoy.
- If a boot loop will be issued, go back to recovery and make a hard reset – select “wipe data factory reset”.
Congratulations; you have successfully rooted your Sony Xperia Z3 that runs on official Android 5.0.2 Lollipop 21.1.A.0.726 Firmware.
How can you insert the SIM card on your Xperia Z3?
One of the annoying things that can happen to you after getting a new device is placing you SIM inside it. Most of the time it’s same with all the devices but it’s little toilsome with this flagship device. This might not be for the pro’s up there but for people who get confuse here is how it should be done.
There is an SIM card slot just beside the microSD card slot that can be seen only when you can pull out the microSD card flap. Slid out the SIM tray and insert the SIM in it and push back it to its normal position. Inserting SIM card is done and make sure you are using a nano SIM and place it in the correct position.
Stop your Xperia Z3 interrupting your important meetings.
There is a feature called Smart call handling on your device that will let you answer the calls just by bringing the device near to your ear. You can also turn off the ringer by facing the device down and shake the device to reject the call. Isn’t that interesting? So next time when you are in a meeting, just turn on the Smart call handling feature and manage your calls.
You can enable the smart calling feature by
- Go into settings area.
- Select personalization option from the Device section.
- Select the first option called “Motion.”
- Here you will have the option of enabling and disabling the Smart call handling.
Avoid late night wake up calls on my Xperia Z3
You want to avoid all the annoying calls at the night? Just set your device to timer and the your Xperia Z3 will go silent after the time you set on it. Set the time that the device needs to go to silent mode and you also have the option of selecting the time period so that you don’t miss any calls after that.
How to mirror content from your Xperia Z3 to the TV
Apart from using the NFC to transfer files and videos to other device you can also use it to mirror the video content on the TV. Follow the steps to complete the process.
- Go to the setting panel and select the Xperia Section
- Here you will find Mirroring option
- Search for Suitable NFC enabled device
This works only with the Sony Bravia TV that was unveiled earlier this year in the CES event. For using it on other devices, Go to the settings and select Throw. This supports DLNA technology and the Wi-Fi connection so that you can push the content to TV or Speakers. You can also push content to Chromecast with companion app of Chromecast.
How to install external apps with apk files
We do not have the luxury of installing all sort of app on to our device, so in-order to overcome this we have the apk files for installing external apps. To install this, head to the setting section and then to the security, wherein you will find the option named, unknown sources. Now Check the box and you will be able to install the apk files.
So these were some of the important Tips and tricks of Sony Xperia Z3 device.
